The two leaders reaffirmed the shared values that underpin India-Cyprus relations. They reiterated support for respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of each other. Prime Minister thanked Cyprus for its strong condemnation of the barbaric terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April 2025 and the solidarity and support extended to India in its fight against terrorism. This underlines the strong commitment of both countries to counter terrorism. Prime Minister also reiterated India’s support for Cyprus’s unity and for a peaceful resolution of the Cyprus Question based on UN Security Council resolutions, international law, and the EU Acquis.

Both country to hold delegation level talk today, Indian Prime Minister says visit will add significant dimension to bilateral trade and investment relation. Indian Prime Minister visit the Cyprus on Sunday 15, and Mr. Modi (PM) was greeted by Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides at the airport. Mr. Modi was meet Indian community resident in Cyprus and express greet to them for love and support to India . And he also says special thank to them for support of India’s position on the Kashmir issue and has most recently expressed solidarity with Indian after the terror attack in Pahalgam in April .
Mr. Modi also says , thank to Indian communities for the love . India will continue its efforts to strengthen its relation with Cyprus in the future .
This visit of Indian PM is significant and also send a message to neighboring Turkey, coincided with the Israel-Iran conflict.
After conclusion of engagement at Cyprus, the PM Modi leave for the G-7 meeting at Canada .
